Former owners of Jon-Jay Associates, Jay and Tim Rooney Acquire Corporate Cost Control
Longtime veterans of the Unemployment Compensation Cost Control business Jay and Tim Rooney have acquired 100% of the assets of Corporate Cost Control.
CCC, a Texas company, was founded in 1991 by Clay Weidman. Mr. Weidman has sold all of his interests but will keep a seat on the board and remains with the company as Vice President of the Western Region for at least three years. CCC will keep its offices and staff in Dallas, continuing to service its loyal client base as it always has.
Jay and Tim Rooney, formerly principals of Jon-Jay Associates, sold their company to TALX Corporation in 2005. Together, Jay and Tim Rooney have over 60 years experience in the Unemployment Compensation Cost Control business
The Rooneys were hired by CCC in November 2008 to develop business in the East and open a full service UC claims processing center in the Boston area. “It’s the business we grew up in”, said Jay Rooney. “We are very excited about being back in the customer service business. The attitude that the customer is always right, that our father (Jon-Jay founder, Jack Rooney) instilled in us, is in our blood”.
“Corporate Cost Control enjoys the same type of reputation we had at the old Jon-Jay”, said Tim Rooney. “It is a service based on customization to meet client’s needs and strength in developing long term client relationships.”
With CCC’s customer friendly and flexible, web-based reporting system and the added capital and experience brought in by the Rooneys, it is expected to be a welcomed option for employers looking for ways to control unemployment costs.
